The Arizona Cardinals are coming off their most impressive victory in a while, and in that victory and the running game really carried the day.
It wasn’t so much that the offensive line improved, it was that third string running back Bam Knight that was running with an explosiveness we have been waiting to see from any of the other running backs.
From NFL Insights:
Arizona Cardinals: RB Bam Knight gained 33 rush yards over expected on 15 attempts, exceeding his expected rushing yardage on 60% of carries while totaling 80 rushing yards.
This is one of those games where you know why teams tend to shy away from drafting running backs highly. Not because we don’t all agree that Jeremiyah Love is not a superior talent to Knight, but because the production is not necessarily always going to show up for the superior talent.
Now the question becomes, how long will Love be out and when will we see the big game for Love?
