The Imole Campaign Council has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in Osun State in the 2027 presidential election following the appointment of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the President’s re-election campaign.
The council said it would mobilise all structures of the Accord Party in Osun to support Tinubu, expressing confidence that Adeleke would justify the confidence reposed in him by the President.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, the council described Adeleke’s appointment to the Presidential Campaign Council as well deserved.
It said the governor’s leadership and political influence would be instrumental in securing victory for Tinubu in the state.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced,” the statement said.
The council recalled Adeleke’s earlier pledge to deliver 1.5 million votes for Tinubu, insisting that it remained committed to achieving the target.
It also called on Osun residents to continue supporting the governor, arguing that backing Tinubu’s re-election would reinforce Adeleke’s administration and its development agenda.
“Our message to the people of Osun State is to keep trusting and supporting Governor Adeleke as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. A vote for President Tinubu is a support for Governor Adeleke,” Oyewumi said.
The pledge signals an emerging political alignment between Adeleke’s camp and the APC-led presidential re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.
However, the proposed 1.5 million votes remain a campaign target, with the actual outcome dependent on voter turnout, political mobilisation and the electorate’s choices at the polls.
