By Zoila Palma: A delegation of Belizean exporters is representing the country at the Kaohsiung Food Show 2026 in Taiwan, seeking to showcase Belizean specialty products and explore opportunities in international markets.
The delegation includes Oscar Requena, Business Advisor at EXPORTBelize, a unit of BELTRAIDE.
The team is highlighting Belize’s artisanal food products, including specialty honey from Farmed to Perfection, artisanal Mayan chocolate from Che’il Mayan Products, and single-origin chocolate from Ixcacao Maya Belizean Chocolate. The products reflect Belize’s diverse flavors and cultural heritage.
The participation aims to introduce Belizean products to international buyers, establish business connections and create new market opportunities for local exporters. The trade mission also provides an opportunity to strengthen commercial relationships between Belize and Taiwan.
EXPORTBelize acknowledged the support of the Taiwan Embassy in Belize, the Embassy of Belize in Taiwan, TAITRA Global and the Latin American and Caribbean Trade Office in facilitating the mission.
