Bake a simple vanilla madeira cake with just 5 ingredients
Ingredients
350g butter
350g castor sugar
6 eggs
400g self rising flour
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
Method
Beat the butter and castor sugar together
Add eggs and self rising flour and mix until it comes together into a thick batter
Add a tablespoon of vanilla essence and mix
Spoon out into two greased loaf tins and bake on 150C for 30 mins or more until baked
