Planning your October in Tulum
The Papaya Playa Project sits on the Tulum-Boca Paila coastal road, and Gitano’s jungle and beach venues are further along the same road. Allow extra time for taxis late at night, and agree the fare before you set off.
Check the ticket page for the final venue, time and price before you travel, because organisers can change them. Every event in this guide sells through Ticket Fairy, and prices rise in tiers as the date approaches.
What it means for you
If you are travelling from the United States, the cheapest tickets cost US$14 to US$16, Full Moon Rising starts at US$21 and the Papaya Playa Project parties at US$78. The peso price is the headline, so a dollar card or cash gives you a clear sense of the real cost.
Residents get the best deal on some tickets: the Papaya Playa Project lists a lower price for Tulum residents on Starlight and The Full Moon. Check the ticket page for the residency rule.
What is not known
Hanal Pixán (Maya Day of the Dead) is celebrated from 31 October to 2 November, but we found no published 2026 programme from the Tulum municipality, so we do not list any public altars or contests. We also left out listings where sources disagreed on the date or venue, and the start time of Full Moon Rising differs between Ticket Fairy and Gitano’s own site.
