Indiana Fever forward Caitlin Clark, a Kansas City Chiefs superfan and Taylor Swift devotee. Her relationship with the Kelce brothers is a no-brainer, and they’ve welcomed it.
“Clark previously made a guest appearance on the brothers’ hit “New Heights” podcast, and he’d even caught up with Travis Kelce during the Swift Eras Tour stops in Indianapolis. Now, their worlds collided again with the podcast’s pregame activities leading up to the Chiefs’ game vs. the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18, 2026.”
Caitlin 1 Shoes on Display at New Heights Tailgate
The Saturday before the game, social media user @nosyone4 shared pictures of a Caitlin 1-Clark Nike basketball shoe on prominent display as part of the “New Heights” tailgate event outside of Arrowhead Stadium. “Nothing special to see here just a Caitlin 1 display outside of Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Chiefs game tomorrow!” the caption read.

As of that moment, it was uncertain whether or not pairs would be on sale, or whether Clark would be at the event. The New Heights free tailgate was scheduled to take place in Lot M of the Truman Sports Complex from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. CT. From 1-2 p.m., Jason Kelce hosted the Chiefs and Chargers fan meet-and-greet; The kickoff for the game was at 3:25 p.m. CT.
Caitlin 1 Breaks Nike Signature Launch Record
Caitlin 1 debuted in over 5,000 NIKE, Inc. Retail stores nationwide on October 1, 2026, and is the brand’s most significant launch ever, and roughly twice the size of a standard Nike Basketball signature shoe launch, confirmed earlier by Nike CEO Elliott Hill.
Clark, playing in her third season with the Indiana Fever, set career highs in points (22.3), assists (8.3) and rebounds (4.0) per game. She led the Fever to the playoffs, where they lost in the first round to the Las Vegas Aces.
Clark was in attendance at the Chiefs’ 22-6 win over the Chargers – along with a number of people including Swift (and others like Haim) in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Jason Kelce interacted with fans at the tailgate, while Travis was getting ready for the game and participating in it. The whole display and company continued to reinforce the center of the crossovers.
