Arizona Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love ran 12 times for 22 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions. He was targeted once as a receiver but did not have a catch.
Why It Matters: Love, the No. 3 overall pick in this year's draft, endured his worst day as a pro, averaging just 1.8 yards per carry and going without a reception. Arizona fell way behind and spent most of the second half throwing the ball, but it was still a disappointing performance from the rookie. At this point, Love is hanging on to RB2 value by a thread, and even that is due mostly to talent and upside as opposed to actual production. If he can't pick things up offensively -- through five games, he's averaging 56 combined yards and has one TD -- he's going to wind up relegated to RB3/flex territory in short order. For now, though, there's nothing to do but be patient as selling low makes little sense.
