PETALING JAYA: The PAS-led Kelantan government has sidestepped calls to drop the sole Bersatu representative from the state executive council.
Deputy menteri besar Fadzli Hassan said the state government was closely following political developments at the federal and state levels.
"We will consider our options and choose the best approach," he told FMT.
Bersatu's sole exco member in Kelantan - Ayer Lanas assemblyman Kamaruddin Nor - oversees the tourism, arts, culture and heritage portfolio.
Wawasan vice-president Wan Saiful Wan Jan had called for the positions of Bersatu exco members in the PAS-led states of Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu to be reviewed.
This followed Perikatan Nasional's deregistration by the Registrar of Societies in response to a complaint filed by Bersatu against the coalition's leadership, helmed by PAS.
Bersatu also has one exco post each in Kedah and Terengganu.
Separately, Bersatu's Kijal assemblyman, Razali Idris, said he was ready to step down from the Terengganu exco if asked to do so by menteri besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
Samsuri, a PAS vice-president, was also the PN chairman before its deregistration.
Razali said he had stated this stance after PAS ended its political cooperation with Bersatu in June.
Razali, who holds the tourism, culture, environment and climate change portfolio, previously stepped down as Terengganu Bersatu chief and hinted at leaving the party after the state assembly dissolves.
