The Atlanta Dream are now one step closer to winning their first-ever WNBA championship, with Angel Reese playing a starring role.
After losing the first game of the series, Reese stepped up in a big way during Game 2, scoring 30 points in a 79-65 win, becoming the youngest player in WNBA Finals history to record 30+ points and 15+ rebounds in one match.
Now, she has managed 21 points and three assists in the Game 3 meeting this week, helping her team secure a 2-1 lead.
On the back of what has been an excellent Finals showing from Reese so far, WNBA analyst Robin Lundberg has been speaking about the improvement in the Dream star’s finishing.
Angel Reese’s improved finishing highlighted
Another reporter tweeted: “It’s actually insane how quickly Angel Reese got this good.”
Lundberg quoted that message to state: “Angel Reese has always been an impact player. But her finishing took a leap later in the season and that’s been the difference.”
Reese and the Dream are now preparing for Game 4 of the series, which takes place this Saturday.
Should they win that, they will need just one more victory to be crowned champions and end their unwanted losing streak in the WNBA Finals.
They previously made it to the showpiece in 2010, 2011 and 2013 but lost on every occasion.
