All schools in four Selangor districts will close tomorrow due to worsening Air Pollutant Index readings, according to the state education department.
SHAH ALAM: All schools under the Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Petaling Perdana and Sepang district education offices will be closed tomorrow (Oct 13) due to the latest Air Pollutant Index (API) readings.
However, schools in other districts in Selangor will operate as usual, the Selangor State Education Department (JPNS) said today.
“The closure only involves schools in the four districts,” it said.
Affected schools have been asked to inform parents and guardians, and take appropriate measures to ensure the safety and health of students are prioritised.
“Educators and parents are advised to monitor official updates from the authorities regarding air quality and directives on school operations.
“Further information on the operation and reopening of schools will be announced through the official channels of the Ministry of Education and JPNS,” it added.
