The Rams signed Blake Grupe last week to replace Harrison Mevis as the team’s new kicker, but that stint may be over before it even started. Grupe injured his knee while attempting to make a tackle in the first quarter of L.A.‘s Week 6 game against the Cardinals and is doubtful to return. Grupe made a 44-yard field goal just before the injury.
If necessary, it appears that punter Ethan Evans will kick field goals for the Rams. Evans has never attempted a field goal in the NFL. Evans went 10-of-18 on field goals as a college kicker/punter at Wingate.
Unbelievably, new #Rams K Blake Grupe, who just replaced Harrison Mevis, is doubtful to return with knee injury.

The Rams can’t seem to avoid special teams problems, even when they try, which isn’t always. The Rams have consistently gone through multiple kickers per season and now it appears that L.A. could already be on their third kicker next week, assuming that Grupe’s injury is bad enough to keep him out. Given how quickly he was ruled as doubtful, that could be the case.
