BUSAN — Busan city and the Busan Tourism Organization are recruiting paid tourist attractions to join the Visit Busan Pass as free-entry partners, aiming to broaden the options available to foreign visitors.
Applications are open from the 21st until 3 p.m. on Nov. 2, and are limited to paid tourist facilities located in Busan. The organization said it will assess applicants on the appeal of their tourism content and products, their ability to serve foreign visitors and ease of use, and their safety and hygiene standards, before conducting on-site evaluations to select negotiation candidates.
Partners chosen in the final round will be promoted to foreign tourists through the Visit Busan Pass official website and mobile platform. Pass holders will receive free admission.
The Visit Busan Pass has sold about 1.04 million units since its official launch in 2023 through July this year. The organization said it plans to expand tie-ups with local paid attractions to strengthen the product, boost visits to tourist facilities and support local businesses.
"We will continue to identify competitive tourism content and strengthen cooperation with the tourism industry so that foreign visitors stay longer in Busan and make greater use of local tourist facilities," an official at the organization said.
Further details on the recruitment are available in the public notice posted on the Busan Tourism Organization website.
