The Atlas range is scheduled to become available in January 2027, with three models offering PV capacities from 3 kW to 15 kW and heights of up to 4 meters.
French solar carport specialist Visionpark is expanding its portfolio with Atlas, a new range of single-arm precast concrete structures designed for residential, commercial and service-sector applications.
The Atlas carports feature a self-ballasting design that eliminates the need for foundations or ground anchors. The structures are placed directly on the ground, with their own weight providing the ballast required for each configuration.
According to the manufacturer, the design reduces civil engineering work and installation times. “Our goal is to offer a genuine energy station – designed and manufactured in France – that is delivered pre-equipped and can be installed in a single day by two technicians,” Armand Teolis, founder of Visionpark, told pv magazine France.
Three models
Visionpark said the structures and mounting systems have been designed to comply with Eurocodes, a set of European standards for structural design. The technical documentation includes a French technical assessment known as an ETN (Étude de Technique Nouvelle), which evaluates innovative construction systems not covered by established technical standards. The assessment covers both the carport structure and the PV mounting system.
Atlas uses an industrial prefabrication process, with the concrete structures manufactured off-site before delivery. The carports will feature PV modules from French manufacturer Voltec Solar, combined with an aluminum mounting system developed specifically for the range.
The Atlas range is scheduled to become available in January 2027, with three models offering PV capacities from 3 kW to 15 kW and heights of up to 4 meters.
Depending on the model and customer requirements, the carports can be pre-equipped with an electric vehicle charger, a PV inverter, integrated rooftop PV connections, an energy management system and battery storage with capacities ranging from 3 kWh to 20 kWh.
Visionpark previously introduced a concrete solar carport solution for larger applications in 2024, using prefabricated structures supplied by Italian manufacturer Paver. The self-ballasting structures, weighing around 10 metric tons each, were designed to cover up to eight parking spaces and accommodate different types of PV modules.
At the time, Visionpark said the system could be installed without conventional foundations, minimizing disruption to existing parking areas. The company also reported installation rates of 300 square meters to 500 square meters per day. The system used a French-made mounting structure supplied by Hydro.
