MONROVIA, October 14, 2026 – Montserrado County District #10 representative hopeful Thomas Taylor has called for the speedy resolution of the district’s representation dispute, warning that residents should not remain without a voice in the 55th Legislature.
Speaking Tuesday, October 13, Taylor urged the court and relevant authorities to address the matter, arguing that the prolonged uncertainty is denying constituents direct representation in national decision-making.
He said residents deserve an elected lawmaker to advocate for their development priorities and address their concerns at the Legislature.
Taylor also criticized politicians who make campaign promises but fail to deliver after taking office.
According to him, leadership should be measured by accountability, service delivery and improvements in citizens’ living conditions rather than campaign rhetoric.
The representative hopeful pledged to remain accountable to District #10 residents if elected, saying Liberia needs a different approach to leadership and development.
He maintained that elected officials must prioritize constituents’ interests and show a genuine commitment to addressing community challenges.
Taylor further called on the relevant authorities to act in the district’s interest, stressing that residents should not be left waiting indefinitely for a resolution.
His comments come amid ongoing uncertainty over District #10’s representation after the House expelled former Representative Yekeh Kolubah earlier this year.
However, the information provided for this report did not establish the current status of the legal proceedings or the reasons for the delay.
