A busy NFL Sunday wrapped up with a thriller between the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens in primetime, ending with a Baltimore win in overtime. As one of the standalone games of the day, there was a star-studded crowd, including WNBA superstar Angel Reese.
Reese pulled up to Mercedes-Benz Stadium with some of her Atlanta Dream teammates ahead of their WNBA Finals appearance against the Golden State Valkyries.
The Defensive Player of the Year, who is a Baltimore native, had to choose between her hometown team and her adopted home. When she showed up with her teammates, Reese was decked out in red and black, the Falcons and Dream colors. Naturally, fans questioned where her loyalty to Baltimore went.
But not so fast, my friends, because Reese knows how to put together a fit and make a statement, and she did have a subtle tribute to her home state with the help of some luxury accessories.

Was Reese rocking a red-and-black fit? Of course, you have to respect your adopted city. But there’s always more than meets the eye with a marketing genius like Reese.

The mind is always working, so while it may be an assumption, we’re going to believe this is the case because it would be a beautiful stroke of brilliance.
Reese complimented her fit with a Maxi Flap Bag from the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 collection, which runs a cool $8,800. Reese previewed the bag in a Chanel unboxing video on TikTok two weeks ago. When you pair the bag with Reese’s red and black look, you can’t help but notice some similarities to the Maryland flag.

That’s how it’s done.
After the game, Reese even celebrated the Ravens’ big win on Instagram Stories, so there was never any doubt where the loyalty lies. But now that the game is in the books, it’s all business with Atlanta.
The Dream and the Valkyries will face off in the WNBA Finals beginning on Saturday, October 17, at Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Tip-off for Game 1 is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
