The polls are open in Brazil. The election is expected to be very close.
The country needs "real change," claims Flávio Bolsonaro, son of imprisoned former president Jair Bolsonaro, as he casts his vote in Rio de Janeiro.
"Brazil cannot handle four more years of this. Everyone's life has become worse," he said, according to the AP.
The candidates have starkly different views on most issues, from relations with the United States to climate change and social welfare.
In the first round of the election on October 4, Lula received just over 45 percent of the vote, while Bolsonaro received 47 percent. Since neither candidate received more than 50 percent, the election will be decided in today's runoff.
