Ramesh Bishnoi, cousin of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, on Monday warned Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to apologise to the Bishnoi community or face serious consequences, following the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai.
Speaking to IANS, Ramesh said the gang’s anger stemmed from the alleged hurt to religious sentiments linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan. Khan was convicted by a trial court in 2018 but has challenged the verdict and maintains his innocence.
Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped injury after three men allegedly fired three rounds at his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening. The actor was leaving a playground after football practice. His driver sustained injuries and was taken to Nanavati Hospital.
On Monday, Rajasthan Police detained three suspects, including a minor, from the Pune-Jaipur Express at Kota railway station. The suspects were allegedly attempting to flee.
A video circulating on social media showed a man claiming to be Anil Pandit, an alleged Lawrence Bishnoi gang associate, taking responsibility for the attack and describing it as a warning to Shroff over his association with Salman Khan. The claim remains unverified, and investigations are underway. (IANS)
