Four teenage boys, the youngest just 14 years old, are accused of attempting to rob a business in Downsview on Tuesday afternoon.
And one police officer was hurt as cops rounded up the four fleeing suspects after the unsuccessful heist.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a robbery call near Wilson Ave. and Keele St. after four masked bandits attempted to break into a business around 1:50 p.m.
“They were unable to gain access and fled the area in a vehicle,” police said in a statement released Wednesday.
Suspect vehicle located
Police said responding officers subsequently located and stopped a suspect vehicle.
“All four suspects fled on foot,” police allege. “After a brief foot pursuit, they were located and arrested.”
“One officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital,” police added, providing no further details of the officer’s injuries.
