Milwaukee Brewers fans went all out for Game 2 of the World Series at American Family Field on Saturday, Oct. 24, in outfits teeming with Milwaukee spirit.
Among them was Kathy Lahay of Seymour, who donned a blue and yellow cardigan and leg warmers she designed and crocheted herself.
"I started it on Oct. 1 ... and I stress-crocheted through the whole postseason," she said. "This was the result."
Lahay's outfit turned out to be for more than just the World Series. It's also what she was wearing when she got engaged.
Her now-fiancé, Karl Webster, proposed before the game, outside the stadium by the Bob Uecker statue.
Webster said a World Series proposal felt fitting because their first date was during the postseason last year.
"We're Brewer fans, so what's a better place to do it?" he said.
In a sea of Brewers blue and yellow, some other outfits drew attention for their originality.
Janelle Wilson of Saukville had a particularly eye-catching item of clothing: a giant Polish sausage hat.
She said the hat is part of a collection featuring all five racing sausages, created 18 years ago. Of the five sausage hats, Wilson said, she owns four.

She wore hair ties featuring the other sausages, a William Contreras jersey, Brewers overalls with Uecker's famous "Get up, get up, get outta here, gone" call, and several pieces of Brewers logo jewelry.
She said she's been to about 50 games this season, along with her daughter, Makayla Wilson, who she said has "literally grown up in this stadium since she was a baby."
Some fans' outfits have sentimental meanings in addition to team spirit.
Richard Dennik of West Allis wore pinstriped Brewers overalls with two photograph buttons attached. One was a picture of his father, a lifelong Brewers fan who died in 2023, and the other was a picture of his mother and father together. Dennik said he lost his mother in July.
"Gotta bring them with, too," he said. "They're the ones that got me in love with the game. My dad was one of the biggest baseball fans I've ever known. He taught me everything that I know about it."
