…as PBAT door-to-door inaugurates Gombe chapter, donates 26 vehicles to strengthen APC mobilisation
The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has pledged to mobilise political structures and grassroots supporters across the state for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The governor attributed the support for Tinubu to the Federal Government’s interventions in Gombe, particularly in agriculture, livestock development, infrastructure, healthcare and energy.
Inuwa Yahaya stated this on Tuesday at the inauguration of the Gombe State chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, where the group presented 26 campaign vehicles to support grassroots mobilisation and expand the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) reach across the state.
The governor thanked Tinubu for his administration’s support for Gombe’s socio-economic development, highlighting the Federal Government’s backing for the Livestock and Agro-Development Zone and the ongoing construction of the Gombe-Biu Super Highway.
He said the President’s approval of N120 billion for the livestock development project would boost agricultural production, strengthen livestock value chains, create jobs and stimulate economic growth in Gombe and the wider North-East region.
Inuwa Yahaya said the Federal Government’s interventions had given the people of Gombe reasons to appreciate the President’s commitment to the state, adding that the projects would strengthen the APC’s political base.
He pledged to mobilise party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots organisations across the state in support of Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The governor also commended the founder and Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for donating the 26 vehicles.
He described the donation as a boost to the movement’s grassroots mobilisation and campaign activities.
Earlier, Tompolo, who was represented by High Chief Kestin Pondi, said the vehicles would improve the movement’s mobilisation capacity and facilitate political engagement across constituencies and communities. He added that the initiative would help raise public awareness of Tinubu’s policies and vision for Nigeria.
Pondi commended Inuwa Yahaya for projects and investments in road infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and economic development across Gombe State.
He described the governor as a progressive leader whose administration had demonstrated the APC’s developmental ideals, adding that the projects and reforms in the state provided a basis for the party’s engagement with voters.
Pondi also praised the governor’s road infrastructure programme, saying he had been informed that at least 100 kilometres of roads were being constructed in each of the state’s 11 local government areas.
He said the programme represented an investment in connectivity and grassroots development.
“This is development. This is connectivity. This is the dividend of democracy. If all governors had done what you have done, we would have less to worry about during campaigns, because performance would do the campaigning for us,” he said.
Also speaking, the Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Abubakar Luggerewo, commended the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for supporting the APC’s mobilisation efforts in the state.
He acknowledged the Federal Government’s support for Gombe across various sectors and stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the federal and state governments.
The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Hon. Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, urged residents to participate in the group’s activities and mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The Gombe State Coordinator of the movement, Khalid Ahmed Kumo, thanked Inuwa Yahaya for supporting the organisation since it began operations in the state.
He assured the governor that the movement would continue to engage with the APC’s political structures across Gombe State.
