Ethereum Price Prediction: Hyperliquid Whale Opens $60M ETH Long

Ethereum traded at $2,500 as the price tests the $2,500 area after a volatile stretch with a slightly bearish prediction. But one Hyperliquid whale has opened a $60.7 million ETH long, leaving traders with a sentiment signal.

The position is attributed to a trader with $29.75 million in profits, but macro and flows keep the setup fragile. Traders are watching the U.S. CPI report tomorrow, while spot Ethereum ETFs reportedly logged a tenth consecutive day of net outflows, including $85.4 million on October 12.

Softer inflation could ease rate concerns and support risk assets; a hotter print could pressure them. The immediate question is whether ETH can hold support before those catalysts land.

Ethereum Price Prediction: Can ETH Reclaim $2,600 This Week?

At $2,530, ETH is hovering just above the closely watched $2,495–$2,500 support zone. The token’s 24-hour change is -1.5% after the broader market fallout following KOSPI’s brutal 6% drop.

Resistance sits at $2,555–$2,575. A sustained move through that band would strengthen the rebound case; rejection there would leave ETH in volatile consolidation below resistance. Momentum is mixed: the RSI is at 46, and ETH is noted below its 50-day moving average.

• Bull case: $2,500 holds and ETH clears $2,575, opening room for a more durable recovery.
• Base case: price oscillates between support and resistance as CPI and ETF flows shape positioning.
• Invalidation: a decisive loss of $2,495 would put the recent breakdown risk back in focus.

The whale long does not change those levels on its own. For broader context, Ethereum exchange flows and key price levels remain relevant to the near-term picture.

LiquidChain Targets Early Mover Upside as Ethereum Tests Key Levels

ETH is not in free fall, but consecutive ETF outflows and uncertain macro direction make the $2,500 test uncomfortable. If support fails, leveraged longs could face pressure; if CPI helps risk appetite, a rebound may follow.

Either way, one large, unverified position is not a substitute for confirmation. Traders seeking exposure beyond a single asset may look at early-stage infrastructure.

LiquidChain ($LIQUID) is a Layer 3 infrastructure project on LiquidChain L3 that aims to fuse Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana liquidity into one execution environment. Its price is low at $0.014965, and it has raised $984K. Staking is also offered at a huge 1100% APY reward, only for presale buyers.

The project’s stated features include a Unified Liquidity Layer, Single-Step Execution, Verifiable Settlement, and a Deploy-Once Architecture. With Liquid, developers deploy once and access all three ecosystems.

Research LiquidChain before the presale window ends.
