Xiaomi released the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max over a month ago, with the large tablet sporting the company's new Xring O3. That chipset, as well as its faster memory, has now earned Xiaomi's tablet the top spot on AnTuTu's latest Android tablet performance chart, ahead of a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 gaming tablet.
While Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 may power most premium Android devices this generation, Xiaomi's self-developed chipset, Xring O3, seems to be a worthy contender. The Xiaomi 18 Fold already took the top spot in AnTuTu's flagship smartphone rankings, and its sibling similarly dominates the tablet leaderboard.
As revealed on the AnTuTu website, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max delivered the best performance of all Android tablets tested on the benchmark in September. The 13.3-inch tablet is powered by Xring O3 and handily outperformed the iQOO Pad Ultra, even though that device features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and a cooling fan.
Like the Xiaomi 18 Fold, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max also has its total score boosted by the presence of LPDDR6 RAM in the 16 GB/1 TB configuration tested. The iQOO Pad Ultra has an identical memory and storage configuration but features slower LPDDR5X Ultra RAM instead. The remaining eight spots on the list are taken up by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 tablets from Oppo, Lenovo, Vivo, and Honor. No MediaTek-powered tablet makes the cut, although there simply aren't a lot of those anyway.
