“Even if Russia captures all of Ukraine, sanctions will remain”: Lukashenko reveals alleged U.S. warning to Moscow
Alexander Lukashenko claimed that the United States is warning Russia that its situation will worsen next year unless Moscow reaches a peace agreement with Ukraine.
According to Lukashenko, Washington is offering Russia the possibility of sanctions relief if a peace deal is reached soon.
💬 “The Americans are now hinting to the Russians: if you don’t reach an agreement with Ukraine, things will be even worse next year”, — Lukashenko stated.
He also claimed that the U.S. is linking the potential lifting of sanctions to ending the war.
💬 “If you make peace with the Ukrainians now, we will lift sanctions and do other things. But next year, even if you capture all of Ukraine, you will remain under these sanctions”, — Lukashenko added.
