Becky G went fiery in Cult Gaia’s latest design for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards held at the James L. Knight Center on Thursday night in Miami.
The singer and recent Guess campaign star turned to the brand’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection for her look, which not only brought the trend of celebrities grabbing styles off the spring runway for their fall red carpet wardrobe, but also incorporated the emerging bra top trend.
Becky G’s look was comprised of a hot red bra top paired with a low-rise skirt with a flowing fringe construction and Kandee cherry red platform pumps. The skirt of the look also included a black belt with various charms and hardware.
Becky G accessorized her look with silver jewelry pieces, including statement rings and delicate bracelets. Her glam featured her hair worn with natural waves and makeup highlights included bold brows, lined and smokey eyes with a glossy lip.
Cult Gaia’s spring 2027 collection saw founder Jasmin Hekmat “taking soft materials and manipulating them into clothes with an almost ‘hard’ sculptural presence,” Ari Stark wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“Bustiers and board shorts followed in Hekmat’s signature chintz plissé, which she gave structure to by using a basketweaving technique,” Stark wrote. Becky G’s bra top look was unique to Cult Gaia’s spring 2027 collection. But the trend has become so popular that the singer wasn’t the only star to sport the style for Thursday night’s event.
Spanish singer Rosalía also incorporated the bra top trend into her look with a design from Tom Ford’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear curation by creative director Haider Ackermann. That look, cast in a monochrome style, included a dark tuxedo and skirt along with the molded bra top.
Bra tops have been styled by the likes of Kristen Stewart, Kaia Gerber, Tyla, Rihanna and Anya Taylor-Joy, among others, over the course of the last several months. Even on the spring runway, labels and designers like Carolina Herrera, Bottega Veneta and more incorporated the style statement, highlighting the trend’s ubiquity.
