Shinsegae Property said on the 12th that it will create Starlit Food Lounge, a food and beverage space, at Starlit Seongsu N, an office building in Seoul's Seongsu-dong purchased by Capstone Asset Management.
Starlit Seongsu N spans six basement levels and 11 above-ground floors, with floors three through 11 occupied by Gmarket, a Shinsegae Group affiliate, as its headquarters.
Shinsegae Property is participating in the site as a strategic investor while applying the name and concept of its own Starlit brand to create a differentiated space combining office and retail functions. The project is designed as a mixed-use dining destination open not only to office tenants but also to nearby office workers, residents and visitors to Seongsu-dong.
The first floor will house a Starbucks and the bakery cafe What a Bread. The first basement level features an open food hall with direct outside access, about 300 shared seats and lounge areas.
The food hall will host 11 restaurants offering a range of cuisines from Korean to Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese. They include Seokcheong by Hanmiok, a new concept from Korean restaurant Hanmiok, dim sum specialist Jeongjeong, Bangchon Tteokbokki from Daegu's Bangchon Market, and Western-style diner brand Taepyeongyang Donkatsu.
