Despite the noise around Carrick’s future, Standard Sport understands he is set to remain in charge against Bournemouth on Sunday and will conduct Friday’s press conference as usual.

Eddie Howe, Antonio Conte and Julian Nagelsmann are said to be among the options available to United should they decide to part ways with Carrick.
United’s players were given the day off on Thursday after travelling back from Italy, but will return to training tomorrow to prepare for the visit of Bournemouth, with Carrick expected to lead the sessions.
United had hoped to push on this season after securing Champions League football under Carrick with a third-place finish last term.
Results and performances, though, have fallen far short of expectations after an underwhelming summer, with United 20th in the Champions League and 13th in the Premier League table.
Carrick remains under pressure, and failure to get a positive result against Bournemouth could spell the end for the former United midfielder.
