Organisers of the Ballon d'Or have revealed what will happen if two players get the same number of votes.
In a post via their X account on Tuesday, France Football revealed who decides the winner in the event of a tie.
It noted that in the event of a tie, the deadlock between players will be broken based on the number of first-place votes received.
It also added that if the tie persists, the number of second-place votes will be considered, followed by third-place votes, and so on.
The winner of this year's Ballon d'Or will be announced next Monday in London.
Players like Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, Bayern Munich's Harry Kane and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe are among top contenders for the Ballon d'Or.
