BNB Standard’s Nasdaq event celebrates its new identity
BNB Standard Corporation will ring the opening bell at Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York, on October 26. Its October 20 announcement said Odagiu would attend with members of the board and management team.
The company confirmed the ceremony in an October 21 post on X, adding that investors and ecosystem partners would join its representatives. BNB Standard’s Nasdaq event will celebrate the identity adopted after the business operated as CEA Industries, alongside its leadership transition.
Shareholders also gained an updated treasury dashboard through the company’s October 13 website launch. It includes adjusted net asset value information and figures intended to help investors track digital asset holdings.
In an SEC filing, BNB Standard subsequently told investors that its website, treasury dashboard and official X account could distribute material corporate information alongside conventional filings and announcements.
A community vote and governance settlement reshape the company
BNB Standard formally adopted its name on September 29, 2026, following a community advisory vote. Odagiu’s appointment as CEO took effect on October 19 after a board restructuring resolved a governance dispute involving YZi Labs.
The September 29 announcement recorded 5,799 votes across four shortlisted names over five days. BNB Standard received approximately 47% of the total, and the board approved the name and updated corporate identity.
A cooperation agreement resolved the governance dispute by adding new directors and launching a formal search for a CEO. Under the agreement, Odagiu, YZi Labs executive Ella Zhang and Bloq co-founder Matthew Roszak were named directors, and YZi Labs’ consent solicitation was terminated.
Candidates were reviewed by a search committee led by Roszak, which ultimately put forward Odagiu for the permanent position. Odagiu had joined the board and become interim president in June.
Prior to his appointment on October 19, he served as an investment partner at YZi Labs and, before that, held an investment banking role at Goldman Sachs International. Upon the appointment taking effect, he stepped down from his roles at YZi Labs.
According to a regulatory filing dated October 19, the company fixed his annual base salary at $525,000 and set his target annual incentive bonus at 75% of that figure.
Odagiu stated that boosting BNB holdings per share and building an operating business on BNB Chain rank among his top priorities. He also hopes institutional investors will look into BNB via a publicly traded company offering clear financial disclosures. “Most institutional investors have yet to study BNB,” he said.
Trading symbols stay unchanged after name change
Trading of BNB Standard’s common shares still occurs under the ticker BNC, and its publicly traded warrants keep their symbols BNCWW and BNCWZ. These trading symbols remained unaffected by the company’s rebranding.
This treasury approach traces back to July 2025, when CEA Industries unveiled a $500 million private placement supported by YZi Labs and 10X Capital. That funding round consisted of $400 million in cash plus $100 million in cryptocurrency, with further funds possibly coming from warrant exercises.
Validator plans bring an operating business to BNB Chain
BNB Standard intends to run its own validator node on BNB Chain, relying on a specialized infrastructure provider to handle technical aspects while the company oversees governance. Odagiu pointed to the validator as the first step toward establishing an operating business on the network.
The company intends to choose the provider through a competitive process and keep its treasury BNB with qualified custodians during staking.
Once the validator goes live on BNB Chain’s mainnet, BNB Standard plans to publish its operating details through the treasury dashboard.
