Sony WH-1000XM5 hit $198, half price for one of its best headphones

There's a reason why we're still talking about the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones in 2026. They deliver fantastic sound and feature impressive active noise-canceling. And while they're easy to recommend at their original retail price of $400, they're an absolute steal at 50% off, like they are right now.

You won't regret it

The newly discounted $198 price tag for the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones comes from Amazon. You can choose from three colors: Smoky Pink, Silver, and Midnight Blue. The WH-1000XM5 headphones deliver great sound out of the box, but you can also tune them.

With ANC, you can enjoy your audio in peace, even in the noisiest environments. Plus, you can feel confident with crystal-clear calls thanks to four beam-forming microphones, which is great if you're always on the go.

Furthermore, you don't have to worry about battery life, with this model pushing up to 30 hours on a single charge. Quick charge mode gives you three hours of use with a three-minute charge. You'll always want these around your ears because the design is comfortable.

With multipoint connectivity, you can keep these headphones connected to two devices at once and switch back and forth seamlessly. The touch controls and earcups make it easy to take calls, adjust the volume, or skip tracks.

Again, these headphones deliver on all levels, making them an easy pick. If we did have to complain, we'd say that the only thing we didn't like is that these headphones don't fold. So, if you're a traveler, you'll be stuck lugging them around and trying to find space for them.

Again, it's a minor knock against a great product. And with the new lower price, we're easily willing to look over that. There is a newer version out, but we think these headphones are a much better value.
