DIMAPUR: Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) has appealed to Yimkhiung and Tikhir communities to maintain peace, remain calm, and resolve differences through dialogue and mutual understanding.
YAN in a press statement stated that both communities are an important part of Naga family and expressed hope that no disagreement would weaken the bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect among the Naga people.
YAN therefore urged leaders, elders, and youth of both communities to act with wisdom, exercise restraint, and avoid any words or actions that could further escalate tensions.
It also appealed all to refrain from spreading rumours or unverified information and to support every genuine effort towards peaceful dialogue.
“Differences may arise, but they should never become a reason for lasting division. Let us work together to protect our people, preserve our relationships, and secure a peaceful future for the younger generation”, it stated.YAN appealed both communities to choose dialogue over confrontation.
