The Packers tried out defensive tackle Mazi Smith on Monday.
They saw enough to sign Smith to the practice squad, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
The Cowboys made Smith the 26th overall pick in 2023, and he spent 2 1/2 seasons in Dallas before the team sent him to the Jets in the trade that included Quinnen Williams. He played three games for the Jets last season.
Smith played one game for the Dolphins this season, seeing action on nine defensive snaps. He had no stats.
He has appeared in 43 games with 20 starts.
