The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has pledged to lead a united and disciplined campaign to secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Yari gave the assurance on Wednesday during the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council by Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate and chairman of the council.
He said the campaign would focus on the administration’s achievements, ongoing reforms, and plans for the country rather than insults or fear.
The former Zamfara State governor described his appointment as a call to national service, pledging to work with other council members to justify the confidence placed in them by the president and the party leadership.
He said the inauguration marked the transition from preparation to action, urging members to work towards securing victory for the APC.
Outlining his priorities, Yari identified unity, discipline, and a clear campaign message as the principles that would guide the council’s activities.
He pledged to maintain unity among members despite their differences in background, faith and region, noting that a divided campaign could not win the support of a united electorate.
On discipline, he promised an organized and accountable campaign, with resources used judiciously, clearly defined responsibilities for members, and no voter taken for granted.
“Our message is simple, and it is true—continuity with results,” he said, adding that the campaign would present the administration’s record and plans to Nigerians.

Yari listed the removal of petrol subsidy, foreign exchange reforms, increased revenue generation, infrastructure development, student loans, conditional cash transfers, and compressed natural gas initiatives among the policies the party would highlight during the campaign.
He also cited the administration’s reported achievements in agriculture, education, consumer credit and women’s participation in government, saying these would form part of the APC’s campaign message to voters.
The campaign director-general said the council would take its message to wards, towns, and villages across the country while listening to Nigerians and engaging them directly.
He urged young Nigerians to participate actively in the campaign, describing them as an important force in the country’s present and future.
Addressing concerns about the party’s electoral prospects, Yari expressed confidence in victory, citing what he described as the administration’s record and the strength of the campaign team.
He acknowledged, however, that victory would require sustained effort, urging members to embark on door-to-door mobilization and ensure that no voter was overlooked.
“Work wins elections. “Organized, humble, door-to-door, vote-by-vote work,” he said.
Yari said the council would work to secure victory in the January 16, 2027 presidential election and earn Tinubu a second term in office.
He added that the campaign would seek to consolidate the administration’s policies and complete ongoing projects, arguing that continuity would enable the government to build on its achievements.
The director-general thanked Tinubu and the APC leadership for the appointment, assuring them of the council’s commitment to the assignment.
