EXCLUSIVE: Zac Efron has taken on new management at Range Media Partners.
This comes at a time when he has a full slate of upcoming projects. Next up, he’ll be seen starring opposite Phoebe Dynevor in Famous, Jody Hill’s dark comedy for A24, followed by Nicholas Stoller’s comedy Judgment Day opposite Will Ferrell from Amazon MGM. Recently, we announced that he’ll star in and executive produce Angel Heart, a drama series from HBO and A24, written by Black Rabbit‘s Zach Baylin. The show is based on William Hjortsberg’s 1978 horror novel Falling Angel, which was previously adapted into the 1987 film Angel Heart starring Mickey Rourke and Robert De Niro, as well as its sequel, Angel’s Inferno.
Most recently, Efron has been seen in the films The Iron Claw, Ricky Stanicky and A Family Affair. He garnered widespread acclaim for his turn as wrestler Kevin Von Erich in the first title from A24, which was named one of the Top 10 Films of 2023 by the National Board of Review.
Efron rose to prominence with Disney’s High School Musical film series, which cemented him as a teen idol. Since then, he has built a wide-ranging film career, with roles in the Golden Globe-nominated musical The Greatest Showman, Universal’s Neighbors comedies opposite Seth Rogen, Adam Shankman’s Hairspray, and Joe Berlinger’s Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, where he played serial killer Ted Bundy.
Efron continues to be represented by WME, Viewpoint, Gang, Tyre, Ramer, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
