Dubai: An Air India flight travelling from Frankfurt to New Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday morning following a reported hijack alert, Indian media reported.
Flight AI2030 landed safely at Jaipur International Airport after Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control reportedly received a brief Squawk 7500 signal, the internationally recognised aviation code indicating a possible hijacking or unlawful interference with an aircraft.

Security moved the aircraft to an isolation bay around 9.45am to allow personnel to conduct checks.
According to Hindustan Times, personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force, local police and bomb detection and disposal teams inspected the aircraft and passengers’ luggage.
Passengers and crew were safely evacuated and taken to a designated holding area in the airport terminal, the newspaper reported.
An airport official said the alert concerned a suspected hijacking rather than a bomb threat, although earlier reports had mentioned a possible bomb threat.
The cause of the alert remains unclear, and no one has confirmed that an actual hijacking attempt took place.
Air India and airport authorities had not issued an official statement at the time of the initial reports.
Further details are awaited.
