A Saturday spent diving into some international food, meeting neighbours and enjoying music could also help give Alcaucin’s street animals a better life. The village of Alcaucin is bringing its multicultural fiesta on Saturday, October 17.
This multicultural celebration will deliver an artisan market, cultural activities and fundraising to Calle La Fuente, with entertainment continuing well into the evening. Everyone is being invited to take part with a stall or simply just mooch along to enjoy the occasion.
Artisan market opens at noon
Calle La Fuente will host the market from midday until 4pm on Saturday, October 17. Stalls will hold an array of local products, handmade crafts and international food for you to explore. At the same time there will be music and various other cultural activities for you to experience. Animal welfare is the drive for the event, with purchases helping to improve the lives of Alcaucin’s street animals.
Complete a cultural passport to enter the prize draw
Visitors can take part in the passport activity, you must collect six stamps by tasting a traditional dish, learning a word, enjoying music or dancing, having a photograph taken in traditional dress, discovering crafts and making a donation.
Completed passports go into the collection box for a cash-prize draw at 5pm, offering an amazing €150 for first place, €100 for second and €50 for third. Participation in the passport and draw is restricted to over-18s.
