Notorious Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker Cyberleek has threatened to reveal story spoilers if the hacking group is caught. In a new post accompanying Cyberleek's latest leaks, the person (or persons) said it has details on the game's ending and considered leaking it to "punish Take-Two greatly."
However, Cyberleek said leaking the ending would ruin the experience for players, and has only published out-of-context clips from the game's final missions so far. Still, don't think that Cyberleek isn't adverse to totally spoiling the game; they said, "the dead man's switch is active" and that story spoilers will be made public if Cyberleek is caught.
The latest unofficial videos of Grand Theft Auto 6 show new hairstyles and Lucia picking up a joint, which goes in her "Cigarettes & Drugs" inventory tab. More clothing customization is shown off, including what might be the first glimpse at the tie-in uniforms the Miami Heat will wear. Clips from what presumably is the final mission, "The End of the Road," are also included. People on Reddit have detailed what's shown if you want to read about the potential spoilers.
Cyberleek's crypto scheme backfired
The rest of Cyberleek's message was about how it will not release the full build of the game after its $30 million crypto goal was not met. Cyberleek previously asked for "a donation" from players, and if those donations reached certain milestones, Cyberleek would release more clips from GTA 6 and eventually the game in its entirety. The clips released were of co-protagonist Lucia naked, because the internet is nothing if not horny. After thirsty folks got their fill, the Cyberleek coin's market cap sharply fell.
"Sad, the negativity — and how few believe anything real is behind this. CL was transparent about the token from day one: a donation, never an investment," Cyberleek said. "It changed nothing — influencers decided the story before the facts arrived. The Edict stands. The leeks stop here. For now."
If Cyberleek sticks to its guns, we won't see any more leaks from it ahead of GTA 6's launch next month on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. But if Cyberleek is caught by the authorities, like other hacking groups, before the game's launch, it'll be interesting to see if Cyberleek's "dead man's switch" is real or an empty threat.
Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released officially on Nov. 19.
