Speaking during his ongoing North Rift development tour, Ruto defended his record on the economy, healthcare, housing and education, accusing Uhuru of assembling opposition leaders to challenge his administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.
"Ain't I the one who supported that sponsor? Let's speak the truth. Isn't it me who helped him? And campaigned for him? Now all the work he tried to do, he failed. The economy sank in debts. Matters Universal Health Care, he failed. Housing he failed. Education for our children, he failed. Now that I have done all that, he is angry at me," Ruto claimed.
The president alleged that Uhuru had brought together politicians to oppose government initiatives, including the Affordable Housing Programme and the Social Health Authority (SHA).

"He has assembled a team of people there. He has hired them to oppose housing, oppose SHA and other initiatives in my government. They are down," Ruto said.
The former president has previously dismissed claims that he is sponsoring opposition activities, saying he is satisfied with his record in public service and has no personal political ambitions.
What did Ruto say about the 2027 election?
Ruto expressed confidence in securing another term, challenging his political rivals to present an alternative agenda to Kenyans.
"If you compare me to them, is there any worthy competitor among them? They don't have any agenda," he said.
The president has increasingly used his development tours to defend his administration's record while criticising opposition leaders ahead of the next election.

What projects did Ruto launch in Trans Nzoia?
During his North Rift tour, Ruto launched the Kiminini-Mitoto-Ndalu-Brigadier Road project and inspected other infrastructure developments.
The road's first phase is set to cost KSh 500 million, with a further KSh 100 million expected to be allocated towards its completion.
The government has also outlined an investment of KSh 18 billion in road projects spanning approximately 292 kilometres across Trans Nzoia, including the 20-kilometre Endebess-Kolongei-Matumbei-Salama Road, which is being constructed at a cost of KSh 1.1 billion.
Ruto also kick-started a KSh 922 million Last Mile Electricity Connectivity project intended to connect 8,792 households in the county to electricity.
What did Ruto say about Sifuna?
During the same North Rift tour, Ruto also launched a verbal attack on Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, ridiculing his newly launched Equitable Party and questioning its ability to compete in the 2027 election.
The president described the party as the "Empty Party", also criticising Sifuna over his attendance at an event featuring Congolese singer Koffi Olomide.
Ruto accused opposition leaders of lacking a clear agenda, maintaining that his administration's development record would be central to the next election campaign.
