Popular gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, widely known as Toluwanisings, has died.
His family confirmed his death in a statement shared on his verified Instagram page on Wednesday night.
According to the announcement, the gospel minister died in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The statement read: “With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of MINISTER OLAYEMI BAYONILE BOLAJI, Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM), who passed away in the early hours of 14 October 2026. A dearly loved husband, family member, and gospel minister. Please keep his wife, family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.”
Earlier on Wednesday, concerns had emerged over the singer’s health following reports that he slumped at his residence in Ibadan after complaining of tiredness.
The incident reportedly occurred hours after he ministered at *In His Presence*, a monthly worship programme hosted by Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan on Tuesday night.
Toluwanisings’ death comes months after he was involved in a road accident alongside members of his band while returning from a ministration.
Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues and fans following the announcement of his death.
Among those who reacted were lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi and comedian Woli Agba, who had earlier called for prayers for the singer.
