Nintendo just dropped a new overview trailer for the Ocarina of Time remake, offering a fresh look at revamped environments, characters, and combat. We had the chance to play some of the game ourselves, and were surprised by just how many changes Nintendo is making to the iconic N64 release.
While Nintendo previously announced two new amiibo figures tied to the remake - Young Link and Young Zelda - the new overview trailer also confirms support for all existing Zelda amiibo. It doesn’t go into too much detail about what that support will involve, but the trailer shows Link receiving a number of helpful items, including healing hearts, Green Potions, and a Deku Stick.
Your quest through the vast kingdom of Hyrule begins when The Legend of #Zelda: #OcarinaOfTime comes exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 on Nov 5.

It appears players can tap existing Zelda amiibo for helpful consumables and items, but not necessarily any exclusive cosmetics or weapons. This is similar to how non-Zelda amiibo worked in Tears of the Kingdom, which allowed for daily “bonus” scans of general Amiibo once per day.
The previously announced Ocarina of Time amiibo, which are up for preorder with varying levels of stock across retailers, will net players wearable masks for Zelda and Link.
Nintendo first launched the amiibo product line with the Wii U. Each amiibo comes with a small figure as well as a card that you can scan from Nintendo consoles, netting players various unlocks and bonuses across games.
Every mainline Zelda release has been accompanied by new amiibo. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo offered in-game weapons and gear in addition to daily rewards.
Where to Buy Out of Stock Amiibo
Amiibo frequently sell out in the lead-up to big game releases, and Zelda is about as big as it gets. While the Switch 2 generation of amiibo continues to be in stock at most retailers, some of the older releases have pretty much disappeared from the internet.
For those who are desperate to get their hands on an older release, GameStop offers tons of pre-owned amiibo with a solid ‘Pre-Owned’ guarantee for peace of mind. You’ll also find third-party resellers at Target, Best Buy, and eBay, though it’s always worth comparing prices to a figure’s MSRP at release.
