The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has congratulated successful candidates in the party’s constituency elections, urging them to promote unity and strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a congratulatory message addressed to party members, Mr Moore described the victories as evidence of the commitment, dedication and hard work of the successful candidates, as well as the confidence reposed in them by party members.
He commended the winners for their sacrifices and willingness to serve the party and the people of Ghana, while reminding them that their victories came with the responsibility to work towards the collective interest of the NDC.
Mr Moore urged the newly elected constituency executives to remain humble, united and committed to the party’s ideals and principles.
According to him, their immediate task should be to strengthen the party’s structures, promote unity among members and advance the NDC’s collective vision.
He also appealed to candidates who were unsuccessful in the elections to remain committed to the party and continue contributing to its growth and development.
“Every member has a valuable role to play, and our collective strength lies in our ability to work together despite our differences,” he said.
Mr Moore stressed the need for reconciliation among members following the internal contests, urging them to put their differences aside and work together towards the party’s objectives for 2028.
He further called on party members to support the vision of President John Dramani Mahama, saying the NDC could achieve its goals only through collective effort and a shared sense of purpose.
The regional chairman also used the occasion to appeal for the same spirit of unity and cooperation in the upcoming regional elections.
He urged members to remain focused on the task ahead and work together to secure victory for the party.
Mr Moore wished the successful candidates wisdom, strength and success in their respective roles, expressing hope that the outcome of the constituency elections would usher in greater unity and continued progress within the NDC.
