An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), lawyer and PhD holder, Yusuf Lawal, has added another feather to his cap with the publication of a book titled “Essentials of Godnomics and Rule of Law.”
Lawal, who currently serves as the Officer-in-Charge of the Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB) of the Ogun State Police Command, unveiled the book at a ceremony held yesterday, October 11, 2026, at AM 2 PM Hotel, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, who chaired the book launch, emphasised the importance of continuous learning, intellectual development and professional excellence within the Nigeria Police Force.
Ojajuni encouraged police officers to pursue academic and professional advancement, noting that personal development broadens knowledge, sharpens judgment and strengthens their capacity to deliver effective and accountable policing.
His presence at the event as the state’s chief police officer was described as a morale booster and a source of encouragement to police personnel, demonstrating that dedication to duty can go hand in hand with academic achievement and professional growth.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, Lawal’s accomplishment underscores the value of intellectual development beyond routine operational responsibilities.
“ASP Lawal’s accomplishment demonstrates that the pursuit of knowledge beyond operational responsibilities can enrich policing, promote respect for the rule of law and inspire colleagues to strive for excellence in service to the nation,” Babaseyi said.
