Full details ahead of Women’s World Cup 2027 playoff clash between Scotland and Czechia in Paisley.
Scotland will look to secure a safe passage into round two of the Women’s World Cup qualifying playoffs as they welcome Czechia to Paisley for their first-round second-leg clash on Tuesday night.
Goals from Caroline Weir and Claire Emslie gave Scotland a deserved 2-0 win in last week’s first leg against Czechia in Pardubice, and they are in a commanding position as they aim to seal a place in the next stage of qualification for next summer’s tournament in Brazil.
Head coach Melissa Andreatta has warned her side against complacency against a side ranked just seven places below their opponents, though, insisting it is simply half-time in the tie. Should they progress in Paisley, it will almost certainly set up a tie against Sweden, viewed as one of women’s football powerhouses and ranked eighth in the FIFA world rankings, after they defeated Lithuania 5-0 in their own first-leg playoff tie on Friday.
