Coway BEREX R7 Stretching Motion Bed Wins '2026 Good Design Awards'

Coway BEREX R7 Stretching Motion Bed Coway Co., Ltd., the “Best Life Solution Company,”announced that its ‘BEREX R Series R7 Stretching Motion Bed’ has won the Bronze Award—the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) President's Award for Ergonomic Design—at the 2026 Good Design Awards. With this achievement, Coway has once again been recognized for its design competitiveness, sweeping Korea's most prestigious design award in addition to achieving a Grand Slam at the world's top four design awards this year. Alongside the R7 Stretching Motion Bed, the 'BEREX Pebble Chair 2' and 'BEREX M Series Massage Mattress' were also selected as GD (Good Design) products, further proving the design excellence of Coway's sleep and wellness brand, BEREX. Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), the Good Design Award is the most prestigious design award in South Korea, held annually since 1985. A panel of design experts comprehensively evaluates the appearance, function, material, and economic efficiency of products, granting the government-certified GD (Good Design) mark to outstanding entries. The Bronze Award-winning 'BEREX R7 Stretching Motion Bed' is an innovative sleep solution that blends cutting-edge healthcare technology with warm furniture aesthetics. Its core 'Dual Stretching Cell' operates across 14 levels to relax stiff muscles, offering 15 customized stretching programs and 4 ergonomic motion positions. Notably, it masterfully conceals its high-tech mechanisms within a refined bed frame. It also introduces the 'BEREX Sleep System 81,' allowing users to mix and match sizes, headboard designs, and premium fabric colors in up to 81 combinations, earning high praise for its human-centric safety and premium design value. The 'BEREX M Series' is a hybrid sleep-tech mattress providing uninterrupted care from relaxation to sleep. Its hidden built-in massage module rises to the surface only when activated. The mattress automatically detects the spine's curve for a tailored massage with 12 intensity levels for the neck, back, waist, and buttocks. Users can further personalize their experience by choosing between the 'MM type' for strong kneading and tapping, or the 'MS type' specialized in gentle acupressure. The 'BEREX Pebble Chair 2' is a furniture-style massage chair that seamlessly blends aesthetic elegance with powerful functionality. Despite its compact size, it features a multidimensional 3D massage module that moves up to 8cm forward and backward, paired with 50℃ 'Direct Heating Massage Balls' to relieve muscle tension. It also ensures user convenience and safety with a 152-degree recline for stable rest, a 'Forward Reclining' assist for easy standing, and a 'Kids Mode' for young children. "We are thrilled that the innovative designs of our new BEREX products, which harmonize naturally with any space while focusing on the essence of sleep and rest, have once again been recognized for their excellence with the Good Design Award, following our Grand Slam at the world's top four design awards," said an official from Coway. "We will continue to introduce innovative products and services that elevate the dignity of residential spaces and provide customers with the ultimate relaxation."
