Raye flocked with the best of them in a feather-trimmed Taller Marmo look at Thursday’s 2026 Mercury Prize in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, where she also won Album of the Year for “This Music May Contain Hope.”
The “Where Is My Husband!” singer turned to the Riccardo Audisio and Yago Goicoechea-founded brand’s fall 2026 collection, wearing a 1920s-inspired look cast in antique bronze. The two-piece 1920 Gown a feather-trimmed opera coat with a satin slipdress.
The floor-length slipdress was cut from flared double-viscose satin and layered beneath a sheer silk chiffon fil coupé cocoon coat, which was woven in Como with a Baroque damask motif.
The fall 2026 collection from Taller Marmo turned back the clock with its designs, creating dresses and gowns inspired by film noir, Old Hollywood glamour and 1920s evening wear, a fit for her club-crooner aesthetic.
The coat included a soft ostrich-feather boa along its front and wide cuffs.
Raye’s Mercury Prize red carpet look served as a reminder of how prominent feathered motifs have become in 2026. Earlier this month, Ayo Edebiri wore a look with feather-like fringe from Chanel’s spring 2026 couture collection for the London Film Festival premiere of her new movie “Clarissa.”
The feather trend also appeared at July’s fall 2026 couture shows in Paris, with stars like Emma Corrin, clad in a sculptural Schiaparelli jacket embroidered with hand-painted feathers, and Jennifer Lopez, in feathered looks while sitting front row at both the Michael Kors and Celia Kritharioti presentations.
Raye’s March 2026 studio album “This Music May Contain Hope” beat out fellow nominees including Olivia Dean, Florence + The Machine and Sir Paul McCartney. After accepting the award at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, Raye performed “I Hate the Way I Look Today” from the winning album.
