A new report highlights how limited flexible work options are a reason for top performers to leave employment.
According to an analysis of household-level data and the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s (WGEA) extensive employer dataset, some industries are seeing more senior women leave at key moments in life due to a lack of flexible work arrangements.
WGEA says that the answer to this retention and productivity conundrum is better job design.
WGEA CEO Christine Castley said all employers wanted to attract good people, keep them, and see them succeed.
Given this, it was worth considering the experience of workers across the whole talent pipeline, she said.
