This in, news that top Edmonton Oilers goalie Devon Levi missed practice today and is now out with injury. Bob Stauffer of Oilers Now reports the Oilers are expected to call up a goalie from the American Hockey League, likely veteran Matt Tompkins.

Reported Stauffer: “According to Edmonton Oilers Head Coach Mike Babcock… Tristan Jarry will start tomorrow. Says the Oilers will be calling up someone (I assume Matt Tomkins)… As Devon Levi missed practice today.”
Stauffer reported the following lines and d-man pairings from today’s practice, with Shakir Mukhamadullin promoted fro the pressbox to the top pairing with Evan Bouchard, due to Matt Ekholm beng out after his head crashed hard on the ice in Thursday’s game.

Oilers have not indicated what the injury is or how long Levi is out, but Babcock said they are calling up a goalie to backup Jarry Saturday. And a D-man, with Ekholm (concussion) out of the lineup.
