The Cleveland Browns have been heavily relying on their rookie wide receivers throughout their 3-1 start to the 2026 season.
However, the team will be without one of them for the remainder of its Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets, and maybe even longer.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion has been ruled out with a head injury after taking a hit from Jets veteran defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.
It's certainly a big blow to the Browns offense as Concepcion has played a key role for it through the first four weeks of the season.
During the span, Concepcion has recorded 17 catches for 144 yards, helping Cleveland ascend to first place in the AFC North.

However, the Browns will now have to rely on fellow rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston along with veterans Jerry Jeudy, Isaiah Bond, and Malachi Corley.
The Browns selected Concepcion in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, where he was named a consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC in 2025 after recording 61 catches for 919 yards and nine touchdowns.
Concepcion also played college ball at NC State from 2023-24, reeling in 124 catches for 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns.
