Mama Rachel made the remarks during a public gathering in Kerio Valley, where she heaped praise on the Head of State and addressed questions that many Kenyans have raised about whether the President ever feels the weight of his responsibilities.
Rachel credits God for Ruto's resilience
The First Lady went on to offer her own explanation for the president's seemingly boundless energy, attributing it to a divine calling rather than personal ambition.
"I think it's because of the spirit that God has given him to serve Kenyans, to say that all Kenyans in our entire country will be served without discrimination."
Her sentiments painted a picture of a husband she views not merely as a politician but as someone answering a higher calling, one that transcends the ordinary pressures of public office.
Rachel calls for peace in Kerio valley
Beyond her tribute to the President, Rachel used the platform to send a pointed message about the need for lasting peace in Kerio Valley, a region with a history of insecurity and intercommunal conflict.
Amani idumu hapa Kerio Valley. Kwa sababu pasipo amani, maendeleo haiwezi kufanyika," she stated.
She stressed that without peace, no meaningful development can take root in any community, urging residents to prioritise unity as the country moves into a new year.
The first kady's appearance in Kerio Valley is part of a broader pattern of Ruto traversing the country to launch development projects, with Rachel frequently by his side, championing prayers and national cohesion.
