Japanese brand Links International has introduced a new fanless mini PC - the LNE6412. Equipped with a very modest quad-core Intel CPU paired with up to 32 GB RAM, the industrial mini PC packs a healthy array of ports.
Links International is a pretty well-respected Tokyo-based brand that specializes in computer hardware. The brand has introduced a new mini PC with a fanless design, dubbed the LNE6412.
As the alphanumeric naming might suggest, the mini PC is primarily aimed at industrial and enterprise usage. Powered by a 10-watt Celeron J6412 CPU, the mini PC should be good enough for lightweight workloads that aren't too CPU-intensive such as media playback, office work, POS terminals, digital signage, and the like.
The fanless LNE6412 mini PC settles for a very basic quad-core Intel CPU
To be more precise, the Celeron J6412 "Elkhart Lake" CPU features a 4-core setup with a 2 GHz base clock and 2.6 GHz boost clock. The chip should be able to manage roughly 1,200 points in Geekbench 6, which goes to show just how modest the chip's capabilities are.
As mentioned earlier, the LNE6412 mini PC is completely fanless and relies solely on passive cooling for heat dissipation. Given the paltry 10-watt TDP of the Celeron chip, the fanless design should not be a downside. After all, a silent system is always welcome.

The I/O on offer is pretty expansive, which is to be expected from a mini PC aimed at industrial/enterprise usage. The details of the same can be found below:
- Four USB 3.0 Type-A
- Dual USB 2.0 Type-A
- Dual 1G Ethernet
- Dual HDMI (Up to 4k60), VGA
- 3.5mm audio jack
8 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 GB of storage are present. The RAM can be upgraded to a healthy 32 GB, while storage can be upgraded via the mini PC's M.2 2280 slot.
Measuring in at 129 x 157 x 40 mm or roughly 5 x 6.1 x 1.57 inches, the LNE6412 mini PC is quite compact, and can be VESA mounted. Prices start at ¥98,000 (~$620) for the variant without a pre-installed OS. Global availability is uncertain, although customers can always go the import route.
That said, hobbyists and fanless mini PC enthusiasts who'd prefer a more potent CPU would be better served by something like the MeLE Cyber X1, currently available for $494 on Amazon.
