Breaking News: Legora has raised a $550 million Series E at an $8.8 billion post-money valuation.
The round was led by Atreides Management, with participation from new investors, including Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Glade Brook Capital Partners, and J.P Morgan.
Every major existing investor, including Accel, Benchmark, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, ICONIQ, Insight Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Sands Capital, is also participating, they added.
Legora built the round around investors with a long time horizon, they said. It brings together established long-term holders with strategic investors, institutions that work with law firms and in-house legal teams every day and have a close view of where legal work is heading, they noted.
Legora went from $1 million to $100 million in ARR in less than 18 months, they added.
They also stressed the growth of inhouse. And in the US.
‘In-house legal teams, only a small fraction of Legora’s customer base a year ago, made up more than 40% of new customers in the third quarter. In the United States, now Legora’s largest market by revenue, more than half of the AmLaw 50 are customers, and Legora opened its first US office only in spring 2025,’ they said.
‘The opportunity in legal is enormous and we are still early. AI is changing the role of the lawyer, with more time for judgment and advice, and it is reshaping how law firms and in-house legal teams are organized and how their work gets done. We intend to lead that shift in the US and globally. We chose investors who share our long-term view and know what it takes to build a lasting company. They are the right partners for the years ahead,’ said Max Junestrand, CEO and Co-Founder of Legora.
